IMC Plantations Embark On COVID 19 Sensitization
Just as the saying goes that charity begins at home, IMC Plantations began her sensitization against Coronavirus with her workers. The exercise became necessary due to the rapid spread of the virus.
The workers were educated by the company nurses on the mode of transmission, the symptoms and the preventive measures of COVID 19.
Continuing on the sensitization exercise, IMC Plantations visited some communities which include Nsukwa, Ejeme-Unor, Ejeme-Aniogor and Obidugbo. The Team enlightened the people on the symptoms of COVID 19 which include coughing, sneezing, fever, sore throat, difficulty in breathing among others.
The nurses admonished the people to wash their hands regularly with soap and running water, wearing of nose mask, the use of hand sanitizer and maintaining social distancing. The people were also taught how to wash hands properly as a practical demonstration was carried out by the nurses.
Highpoint of the sensitization exercise was the distribution of soap, tissue paper and hand sanitizer to the people.
