A chartered accountant by profession, Mr. Gabriel Hammond retired from Deloitte & Touche, as the Chairman of the African Board and Chairman/Managing Partner of the Nigerian firm which he led to become the largest professional services firm in Nigeria, from being the fourth largest when he assumed leadership of the firm. He has served on the boards of two publicly quoted companies- UAC of Nigeria Plc. and UAC property development company Plc. He is also on the governing board of four non-governmental organizations and several private companies including Bankers Warehouse Limited where he is Vice-Chairman.
